Since several boats had a shortage of crew last year the organizers decided to create a boat and crew matching facility referred to as the GSR Crew Bank. It is a simple information exchange facility through which skippers needing additional crew can come into contact with sailors who have notified us of their interest to participate as crew.

If you have prior experience of sailing and want to join the crew of a yacht that needs to complement its crew, send an email to with a short presentation of yourself, your contact information (phone and email) and a short description of your sailing experience.

Skippers in need of additional crew are likewise requested to indicate their interest the soonest (in the same email address) so the Crew Bank can establish contact between interested sailors and skippers some 2 to 3 months before the regatta.

All skippers that pre-register for the regatta will be notified of the GSR Crew Bank’s existence and requested to inform their respective sailing clubs about this new facility, what it offers and how to participate. We will also notify sailing clubs in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Greece.
